Lakin Ogunbanwo debuts ‘The Mask’ photography exhibition
The exhibition will hold at the Terrakulture Gallery on 2nd February 2012.
The Mask is Lakin Ogunbanwo’s debut exhibition in Sub-Sahara Africa. This 20-piece exhibition is the photographer’s first conceptual exhibition in Lagos. The Mask is a one-day display of twenty photographic works taken in celebration of the mystery of the human mind and face.

The exhibition will hold at the Terrakulture Gallery on 2nd February 2012.

Inspired by Lakin’s yearning to use photography as a medium to foster discussion on the subject of our oneness regardless of tribe, status, creed, or gender, The Mask explores notions of visualisation and impressions, using The Face behind the Mask. The Mask is made up of photographs of public figures and ordinary people.

Lakin’s subjects for this exhibition include the First Lady of Lagos, Mrs Abimbola Fashola, presenter Funmi Iyanda, Pastor Femi Paul, singer Omawumi and many more.

More information about the artist’s work is available at www.lakinogunbanwo.com.

The Mask exhibition starts at 5pm on Thursday, 2nd February 2012.
