10th annual Tea and Hat Fashion Show in conjunction with Roswell Roots: A Festival of Black History and Culture. The event is Saturday, Feb. 11, at 1 p.m. at the Roswell Adult Recreation Center, 830 Grimes Bridge Road. Women are encouraged to wear their hats while enjoying tea and light refreshments.
The jet-setting Vernell Washington will return as a presenter for the Tea & Hat Show and will bring the fashions of Nigerian designer Grace Mark's Chapeaux as part of her presentation.
This year the Smith Plantation will also welcome the Wilbourn Sisters, fashion designers based out of Atlanta, Georgia; Jackson, Tennessee; and Los Angeles, California.
The sisters' designs are known for their free flowing, carefree, colorful and comfortable designs for women of all sizes, occasions and nationalities.
Washington's special talent for fashion will highlight the show. This globe-trotting designer will entertain the crowd with her amazing collection of hats and accessories that will be available for viewing and purchase.
